Refund & Trip Change Policy

​Deposits

 

To reserve your spot on any Society du Monde journey, a $1,000 deposit is required at booking.
Your deposit is fully refundable for 7 calendar days after payment. After that, it becomes non-refundable but may be applied toward a future trip.

 

Final Payment


The remaining trip balance is due 120 days before your trip begins. Failure to pay by this date may result in forfeiture of your reservation and deposit.

 

Cancellation Refunds

​

  • More than 120 days before departure: Deposit non-refundable; remaining balance refundable in full.

  • 120–61 days before departure: Deposit non-refundable; 50% refund of the remaining balance.

  • 60 days or fewer before departure: No refunds.

 

Trip Transfers (Future Credit)
 

Life happens—we get it. You may apply your payments toward a future Society du Monde experience, subject to availability:

​

  • 90+ days before departure: Full value of all payments (including deposit) can be transferred.

  • 45–89 days before departure: 50% of total payments (excluding deposit) can be transferred.

  • Less than 45 days before departure: No transfer value available.

 

All credits are valid for 12 months from the original trip start date.

 

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment against unexpected events.

Code of Conduct

At Society du Monde, we believe travel has the power to transform us — to expand our empathy, reconnect us to joy, and remind us of what it means to live fully. To protect that experience for everyone, we ask all travelers to uphold our shared Code of Conduct in the online community and during every journey.

 
1. Respect for People and Place

 

We travel as guests — in other cultures, communities, and environments.
 

Please treat every person you meet, from fellow travelers to local hosts, with kindness, curiosity, and respect. Honor local customs, traditions, and the natural world.

 
2. Inclusivity and Kindness

 

Society du Monde is a space for women from all walks of life.
 

We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on race, age, nationality, religion, ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
 

We lift each other up — and we speak to one another with compassion and grace.

 
3. Safety First

 

Our guides and partners are trained to prioritize your wellbeing.
 

Please follow safety instructions during all activities and respect the judgment of your trip leader. If you have concerns or need to sit something out, let your leader know — we’re here to support you.

 
4. Personal Responsibility

 

Adventure travel requires self-awareness and accountability.


Come prepared for the physical and emotional aspects of your journey, respect itinerary schedules, and take ownership of your belongings and choices.

 
5. Substance Use and Conduct
​

Responsible enjoyment is welcome — disruptive or unsafe behavior is not.


Society du Monde reserves the right to remove any participant who endangers themselves or others through excessive intoxication, harassment, or disrespectful conduct. No refund or credit will be issued in such cases.

 
6. Group Harmony

 

Our journeys thrive on openness, curiosity, and shared energy.


Please practice patience, punctuality, and flexibility. Each woman’s experience matters equally — let’s create space for everyone to have their moment.

 
7. Stewardship

 

Leave every destination better than we found it.


Be mindful of waste, water, and wildlife. Support local businesses. Travel consciously — with gratitude for the privilege of exploration.
